Child Protection Policy

Our Commitment

At IDP: IELTS Australia, we are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for all minors taking the IELTS test. We work closely with the British Council and Cambridge English Language Assessment to ensure the safety and well-being of young test-takers.

Key Principles

Safety First: We prioritize the protection of minors from any form of abuse.

Confidentiality: We respect minors' privacy and keep information confidential unless it impacts their safety.

Team Effort: Our staff works together to safeguard minors.

How We Protect Minors

Safe Test Environment: Tests are conducted in secure locations with constant supervision by trained staff.

Chaperones: Approved chaperones accompany minors during the test to ensure their safety.

Reporting: We have a clear process for reporting concerns about a child's safety or any inappropriate behavior.

Opting Out of Chaperones

Parents or guardians who do not want a chaperone to accompany their child on test day can request a waiver if:

The test taker is at least 15 years old.

The parent/guardian contacts the test center in writing at least 7 days before the test with the required consent form.

Flexible Solutions

We understand that each situation is unique and are open to making special arrangements to meet the needs of young test-takers.
